SECN does this

The big fish of the SEC will have a game on the SECN, but it will be a game like the Auburn-Jacksonville St or the just announced Alabama-Citadel game.

Conference expansion and conference networks will never make those games go away, in reality, they may make those games more attractive since those will be the way to get the big fish on the conference net.

Also, ESPN has advertising to sell on ABC and ESPN for games, and that advertising is based on certain ratings. If they don't hit those ratings, then they will either have to pay back to the advertiser, or give the advertiser added spots. Either way, Disney loses $$$. That is another reason that a game between any P5 conferences will usually not be shown on a conference network unless it involves the worst drawing teams in the conferences. A Wake Forest-Indiana U game has Big10Net/ACCNet written all over it.
